Will closing a credit card hurt my credit score?
Credit cards that are paid on time show a good payment history on your credit reports. Closing a credit card with a good payment history will drop your credit score and will stop you from getting good credit from that card in the future. You should only close a credit card if have a bad payment history with them or you have several other credit cards with good payment histories.
